He is a laureate of Poland’s highest state decorations: the Cross of Merit of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2005) and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (1999), laureate of the Medal of Merit of the Polish Rowing Federation (1969), laureate of the Silver Medal for the Highest Sports Achievements (1975, 1980), laureate of the Medal of the 90th Anniversary of the Polish Olympic Committee (2010).
He is the recipient of the Jean Borotra World Fair Play Diploma from the International Fair Play Committee for his career and embodiment of the principles of fair play (Budapest, 2022).
He has been a member of the Award Jury the European Fair Play Movement since 2021.
