Başak Nagihan Sönmez holds a PhD in Sports Management from Istanbul University–Cerrahpaşa, an MBA in Sports Management from Bahçeşehir University, and a Master’s degree in Football Business from Johan Cruyff Institute. She is a member of the Fair Play Commission of the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK), where she is actively involved in various projects and conferences, and has been a member of the Scientific Commission of the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM) since 2025. Her professional background includes experience in sports technologies, sports data analytics, local and international sports events, and tourism management.
