2017 EUROPEAN FAIR PLAY MOVEMENT “FAIR PLAY VOX” Award under the auspices of AIPS Europe goes to ERDOGAN ARIPINAR (TUR)

Erdoğan Arıpınar is a prominent Turkish sports figure widely recognized for his lifelong commitment to promoting Fair Play in sport. He has served as Chairman of the Fair Play Commission of the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK) and represented Turkey in international Fair Play organizations. Under his leadership, the TMOK Fair Play Commission has conducted initiatives such as national Fair Play awards and projects to encourage sportsmanship across clubs and communities.

Arıpınar has also held leadership roles at the International Fair Play Committee (CIFP) and European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), including being elected Vice-President of the CIFP and EFPM, reflecting his long-standing involvement in global Fair Play efforts.

In addition to his committee work, he was instrumental in establishing the first Fair Play Museum in the world in Istanbul, preserving and showcasing the history and values of Fair Play.

Through his work, Arıpınar has emphasized ethical conduct, respect, and integrity in sport, helping raise awareness of Fair Play both nationally and internationally.
