2023 EUROPEAN FAIR PLAY MOVEMENT “DIPLOMA OF RECOGNITION” goes to EMILIA ROSSATTI (ITA)

Emilia Rossatti was the protagonist of a nice gesture of Fair Play at the Italian Under 23 Women’s Epee
Championships in Vercelli. Gaia Traditi and Emilia Rossatti compete for the Italian Under 23 title, Gaia is
ahead 12-9 she is injured, restarts but does not stands on the platform, Emilia could try to come back but
give up and let her opponent win the assault she was leading before getting injured, winning the Italian
Under 23 title. A beautiful virtuous example of Sport inspired by sound principles and values of Fair Play
and where friendship is worth more than a victory. Competition, loyalty and respect for the opponent.
