2019 EUROPEAN FAIR PLAY MOVEMENT “SPIRIT OF FAIR PLAY” Award goes to CARLOS CARDOSO (POR)

He is the President of the Portuguese Sports Confederation and the President of the IAAF Cross Country Committee. As an athlete he participated at the FISU Universiade Games (Torino 1970) As former ENGSO President, he has clearly demonstrated a strong commitment in favour of the importance of  Ethics in Sport at all sport levels and for all actors. He has been a powerful ally in the strengthening of the EFPM aims, objectives and ideas at different international sport forums. Once elected as CDP President, the organisation became the Portuguese Sports Confederation affiliated to the EFPM. Since then he has supported all the EFPM initiatives at European level and has been an active participant at the European Fair play Congresses and EFPM General Assemblies.
