EFPM and Play Fair Code Strengthen Cooperation to Promote Integrity and Fair Play
Vienna, April 21, 2026 – Representatives of the EFPM and Play Fair Code initiatives met to discuss opportunities for cooperation in promoting integrity, transparency, and a fair environment in sport and beyond. The meeting created space for exchanging experiences, identifying common goals, and proposing concrete steps for the future.
Both parties emphasized the importance of ethical standards, compliance with rules, and the prevention of match manipulation. They agreed on the need for stronger international cooperation, while the discussion also focused on opportunities for joint projects, educational activities, and raising awareness among athletes, clubs, and the wider public.
The outcome of the meeting will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the presidents of both organizations, formalizing their commitment to close cooperation and joint activities in promoting fair play principles.
“Cooperation between organizations that share the same values is key to building trust and fostering a fair environment,” the participating representatives stated.
The meeting was attended by Severin Moritzer, CEO; Sönke Niklas, Play Fair Code; and Katarina Raczova, Vice President of EFPM.
